Vishu and Tamil New Year mark the beginning of a new solar year, celebrated with great devotion and cultural fervour. The Vishu Kani, an auspicious arrangement of golden blossoms, fruits, and sacred items, is the first sight devotees behold at dawn, believed to bring prosperity throughout the year.
The celebration includes special poojas, vishukkaineettam (sharing of gifts), and a festive sadhya that brings families and communities together in joy.
