SRI NAAGA TEMPLE

As per Sri Babaji’s divine declaration the abode of Sri Mayiladumkunnu was inhabited by Maharishis who has done intense penance in the past. This sacred hillock was inhabited by snakes and peacocks.
Hence the name Mayiladumkunnu. After the constriction of the Sri Vel Murugan Temple, Sri Babaji constructed the temple for Sri Rahu and Sri Ketu, the Sanke Gods to appease them and seek their blessings to develop the hillock as a pilgrimage centre. Sri Babaji performs auspicious poojas on Tuesdays and auspicious days to the Sri Rahu and Sri Kethu idols.
